zeyzal

In a video posted to the team's official account on X, Shopify Rebellion head coach Seong "Reven" Sang-hyeon has clarified the reasoning behind the support switch ahead of Split 3, walking through Ceos' exit and the candidates they weighed before landing on Zeyzal — who was already the team's support in 2024 and Split 1 of 2025.

As reported, Denilson "Ceos" Oliveira Gonçalves, their former starting support, is leaving the roster and heading back to Brazil due to homesickness.

Several names came up before the staff settled. Bill "Eyla" Nguyen was the top target, but visa complications tied to his Australian status would have delayed his arrival until at least week three of the regular season. Mingyi "" Lu was also considered, though he was committed to NRG Bounty and already held Brazilian residency. North American prospects Ryan "" Keel and Ryan "" Jung were evaluated as well, but timing ruled them out — they would only have been available for Split 3.
