Our Recommendations

Below are our picks for every category. Treat these as a starting point, not gospel — the fun of Pick'ems is backing your own reads. But if you want an edge, here's how we're thinking about MSI 2026.

The Bracket: KC, T1, and the EU Believer Special

Logically, the cleanest read is simple: T1 beats everyone, and KC beats everyone except T1. That's the safe, high-floor prediction.

But if you want to be an EU Believer, you've actually earned the right this year — and we'd argue the case is stronger than it looks. T1 appear to be genuinely far from their peak right now, while Europe looks better than it has in a long, long time. Consider the evidence: at First Stand, G2 went 6-0 against the LCK (sweeping both BFX and Gen.G), and KC pushed them to a razor-thin, ultra-competitive Spring grand final — all while remaining completely unmatched against the rest of their league.

Here's the nuance that makes your bracket smarter. Knowing T1's habitual slow starts at international events — they routinely show up a half-step behind on the meta read before re-adapting into a true title contender — the most likely upset path is this: T1 drop their first match to KC in the upper bracket, get caught off guard, then win the qualification match. Their experience and adaptability mean they almost certainly won't get surprised by KC twice.

If you genuinely want to pick KC to qualify, the realistic route is KC losing the first upper-bracket confrontation and then taking the rematch in the final. Build your bracket around that sequence.

A Note on the Champion Categories

The champion predictions are easily the hardest to call this year. With the sweeping changes from patches 26.12 and 26.13, the meta is likely to take shape during the tournament rather than before it. That makes these pure prediction territory — regional tournament stats won't give you much to lean on. Trust your instincts (and our suggestions below).
